For many racing is what sailing is all about, be it dinghies
or yachts, and you can not get a better place to race than
Saltash Sailing Club.
We hold several series of club races throughout the season
on the River Tamar, a Spring and Autumn Series on the River
and in Plymouth Sound as well as several joint events with
other local sailing clubs and several regattas too. This
provides a great mix of local races on the river, races to,
from and in Plymouth Sound and inshore races to coastal
locations such as Fowey and Falmouth. What ever you want...
we have it!
Racing Dinghies
Dinghies race on Tuesday evenings with several classes
allowing very competitive racing for any dinghy - regular
racers include:
- Topper
- Pico
- Mirror
- Enterprise
- Flying Fifteen
- National 12
- Finn
Plus a very healthy Laser and Laser II fleet.
Racing Yachts
Yachts race on Thursday evening racing both an IRC class and
a combined PYA/PYB class.
Racing yachts in the confines of a river that is
significantly tidal makes for close, challenging and
exciting racing - regular racers include:
