Jo Bower

I started sailing in 2001 and did my first Caribbean circuit and transatlantic in 2003.

I like ocean sailing rather than ‘racing round the cans’.

I’ve completed 5 trips across the Atlantic and numerous cruises to the Azores. My favourite cruising grounds are the Eastern Mediterranean and the windward islands but Scotland is beautiful too. So far I’ve clocked up 31,000 ocean miles; I don’t count the local stuff.

I raced with the RNSA single handlers for 8 years and once won the Robin Lloyd Williams Trophy!

I’ve owned 3 yachts. Temptress a YCA 29 which I sailed to UK from Istanbul. My previous boat was Mojo - a Moody 346 - and since last summer my project boat has been Fluito, a Jeanneau Fantasia.
