Ian Saxby - Bio

Ian is a perfect candidate for this position with a broad experience of all aspects of the job.He is married to Clare and they raced a number of dinghy classes for many years within the UK and overseas including: Hornets, GP14's, Laser 4000's as well as team racing events.

Ian has previously been a member of Mayflower SC and Derwent Reservoir SC in the North East and is an experienced race officer at club and open level. Ian holds an offshore yacht master qualification and owns a Cornish Shrimper kept on a swinging mooring at the club. He has also cruised a Halberg widely along the south coast and across to Brittany and chartered yachts.

Ian and Clare's daughter Kate was also a club cadet and is currently working as a ski instructor in Canada during the winter and for a yacht charter business in the med during the summer months.
